We're not sure how to feel about this Japanese method of buttering toast

Let us SPREAD IT.

JAPAN HAS GIVEN us a lot of great things – Nintendo, Toyota cars, and Hello Kitty, to name but a few.

But this we don’t think we can get on with.

Brilliant minds have produced a sachet of strawberry jam and butter that could pretty much change the way we eat toast:

We’re not sure about this. We have a few queries:

Would we be ensured an adequate butter-to-jam ratio with every bite?
What if there isn’t enough butter/jam? Can we use another sachet, or does it upset the proceedings?
Are we wrong for still wanting to spread it?

Give us an answer to these questions, and THEN we shall decide.
